This site is how I see the world, in short entries. I think of myself as a humanist and a generalist, dedicated to the independent pursuit of knowledge. I write the entries as flash cards for myself: a short entry helps me fix what I have learned, and gives me a place to look it up later. Some are practical how-tos, some are reflective takes, and all are snapshots of current thinking rather than final declarations. Expect brevity over exhaustive treatment, clear opinions, links to general references such as Wikipedia, and revisions whenever a view is sharpened, corrected, or replaced. The opinions are real. Mostly I offer them to provoke thought and curiosity, sometimes to convince, and I try to be open about which. Curiosity, more than argument, is what changed my own mind. The entries are written with a large language model’s help: it organizes, drafts, and checks sources, and every position is mine. Written With Help says why I disclose it. Every entry is one of five kinds: a take gives an opinion, a note explains something, a how-to lists the steps to a result, a reference is a cheat-sheet or list, and a quote collects wise words from others.
To dispute a claim or request a correction, open an issue, and I’ll try to fix or cite it in a future release.
The four areas: Life, Mind, Society, and Tech. All entries lists every entry on one page.
