Optimism
Nothing spreads like pessimism, and it has more to do with the mind than with the circumstances you are passing through. Two people can face the same difficulties, and according to their attitude they will meet them differently, and one will get past them faster than the other. Lines I keep for that:

- “It’s wonderful to be optimistic. It keeps you healthy and it keeps you resilient.” — Daniel Kahneman, attributed

And some Spanish proverbs, which say it shorter:
- “Chispa pequeña enciende un monte de leña.” A small spark sets a whole hillside of firewood alight.
- “Cuando una puerta se cierra, una ventana se abre.” When a door closes, a window opens.
- “Quien no se arriesga, no gana.” Who does not risk does not win.
- “A grandes males, grandes remedios.” Great ills call for great remedies.
- “A mal tiempo, buena cara.” Bad weather, good face.
